Fostered between San Francisco and Redding

Name: BONNIE

(Click on photo for additional pictures)

Female

Black & White
Age: 2 Years old.
Size: Medium

BONNIE is a sweetie of a 2-year old, white & black, spayed female. She’s a lean, smaller dog, weighing 26 lbs. She is crate trained and housebroken.

BONNIE has wonderful outdoor and indoor dispositions. Outside she’s a typical BC with enthusiasm, curiosity and runs hard with the pack. Indoors she seems to understand she’s in a controlled environment and tones down her activity level. She loves to cuddle and put her head on your lap for a long petting session.

BONNIE gets along with all of the other dogs here. She likes to chase after them, though sometimes she gets a little to close and the older dogs will let her know so, but she’s learning her place in the pack. She has chased after Lucy Cat once.

All in all, BONNIE is a young, sweet, happy dog with a typical young BC’s curiosity and need for daily activity. She’s energetic and playful, but not obsessive/compulsive and she settles down nicely to wait the next play session. We believe BONNIE will benefit from personal attention and training to become the best dog she can be BONNIE is current on her vaccinations, is heartworm negative and on preventative.

If you'd like to visit with BONNIE, you must have an approved application on file.  To learn more about her, please contact Jane Brogan (jkbrogan@wavecable.com) and Brett Brogan (bcbrogan@wavecable.com. Please include "BONNIE" in the subject line of your email to bypass our spam filters.

Name: JIM

(Click on picture for more photos)

Jim is now being sponsored "on behalf and in memory of little Ginger, my constant companion for 12 years"

 and also fostered

In memory of our Jesi James.  The Lockwoods, Caldwell, ID"

Male

Black & White
Age: 6 years old.
Size: Medium

Jim is a 6-year-old sweetheart. Jim came from a ranch home where he was neglected and now he is thriving in his foster home. He is a small black/white border collie, about 30 pounds. He has a smooth, easy care black/white coat and he loves to be bathed & brushed.

Despite being "middle-aged," Jim has the energy of a typical BC but he is not an intense, high-energy Border Collie.  He is not a sports candidate (i.e., agility, frisbee). He is also not a barker!  As a perfect partner for walking, he can easily get the bulk of exercise from daily walks.  He settles down nicely after a long walk or play sessions like zoomies in the backyard.

Folks experienced with Border Collies will find him on the lower end of the demanding scale. When he has bursts of energy, he plays with the other BCs in his foster home or quietly chews on his Nylabones and Kongs. His foster home is really enjoying Jim’s laid-back demeanor and he complements the BC pack.

Jim will be an excellent addition to a family home with teenagers or someone who is retired and works from home looking for a loyal companion. He bonds strongly with his person and wants nothing more than a place at your feet to take a nap while you’re working at the computer or watching TV.

Jim has excellent doggie social skills. In his foster home or at the dog park, he has been great with other dogs and he would make a great companion to another playful and friendly dog. He is a submissive dog and he wants to do the right thing. He knows sit, down, come and we’re working on refining his stay and other essential household manners. He rides quietly in the car especially on trips to the dog park. He has only expressed curiosity about cats. The cat in Jim's foster home doesn't run so he might chase a cat if it ran.

He loves attention and belly rubs. Jim is neutered, vaccinated and on preventatives for fleas/ticks and heartworm. He is in great shape for a dog his age, lean with a healthy appetite (loves yogurt, fresh fruits and vegetables!!) and no known food allergies. He’s crate trained, housebroken and a lovely Border Collie for the right person. Jim will need guidance and patience to learn about his new home and in return, he’ll take you on plenty of fun, dog walking adventures. Please contact us about meeting Jim!

To learn more about this dear fellow or to inquire about adopting him, you must have an approved application on file.  To learn more about him, contact Jeanne at bellestarrgang@gmail.com.

Name: BAILEY

(Click on photo for additional pictures)

Bailey is now being sponsored “For the Love of Cody, Tammy and Harley”

Male

Black & White
Age: 3 Years old.
Size: Medium

BAILEY is a three-year old, black and white, smooth coat, neutered male.    As is the case with many dogs coming from ranch areas, his tail is docked, though it has not diminished his tail wagging one bit.  In fact his whole body wiggles when he anticipates a fun outing – even just going outside.

BAILEY has been a very well behaved guest at his foster home.   He is   housebroken and crates extremely well at night and for feeding.  BAILEY appears to have had some training as he knows his name, sit and down.  He is extremely affectionate and loves to be petted!

As you can see from the photos, BAILEY gets along well with the other dogs here.  He loves to play tussle with toys and with any willing pack mate.  Homes with cats appear to be no problem!  He has encountered Lucy Cat a number of times and shown no interest in her whatsoever.

BAILEY is a typical young BC with a need for daily activity and human interaction.  Outside he’s very curious, exploring all areas he can access.  He loves to go for rides so someone wanting a traveling (and/or running) companion would be a good match.  He’s always eager to play, but at night he also has nice way of settling down, blending in with the rest of the pack lying around the floor.

All in all, BAILEY is a young, sweet, happy dog that could use additional training to become the best dog he can be.  BAILEY is current on his vaccinations, is heartworm negative and on preventative.  If you'd like to meet BAILEY, you must have an approved application on file.  For more information, please contact Jeanne at bellestarrgang@gmail.com

Marble is also being sponsored in memory of Gareth and Gavin.

Male

Black & White
Age: 3 years old.
Size: Medium

MARBLE is a 3-year-old boy who came into rescue with a seriously damaged foot. The injury happened a long time ago, & the foot healed badly. His right front leg shortened, which made movement painful for him. He's recently had his front leg amputated, & he's getting around beautifully. He runs & plays, & is a typical rambunctious Border Collie. Marble is a wonderful companion dog. He loves people, & is good with other dogs. Marble is not good with cats or chickens. Marble is housebroken & crate-trained. He is neutered, heartworm negative (& on preventative), & is current on his vaccinations.

If you'd like to meet Marble, you must have an approved application on file.  For more information, please contact Jeanne at bellestarrgang@gmail.com.
