This is a sample of how the interior will look in both of our facilities.  Each suite for the dogs will have an indoor area with access to an outer area through a doggy door.  The dimensions for most of the suites will be 12' x 6' on the inside with a 12' x 8' outer area.

   

This is a sample of a suite.  We will have tile floors with tile going up the walls approximately 3' high.  We will have platform beds to keep the dogs off the floor.  Each room will have individual heating and cooling features.

 

BOARDING OPPORTUNITIES:  Our foster providers are asked all the time if they are able to board their former foster dogs when their new owner's go on vacation.  Some of our foster providers are able to do this, others usually don't have room, due to current foster dogs in their care.  We will have an area at the facility especially for the boarding former rescue dogs and the other dogs in their new family.  We will be offering boarding suites for the dogs so they will be in a homelike situation, not a kennel.  The dogs will have indoor and outdoor access with specialized exercise sessions.  We'll also have a cat room so the kitty friends of our former rescue dogs can come and stay too!  We will not commercially board dogs, this will only be for our former Border Collie rescue dogs.  The charge for boarding will be determined as we get closer to completion of our facility, but it will be in the form of a donation to our rescue.

The land for our facility is beautiful.  18 flat useable acres with a creek running across the back of the property, it will be a wonderful place for the dogs to romp and play and for volunteers to toss a ball or Frizbee or just relax under the shade trees.  There is a pond for the dogs who want to go swimming and we will have a few sheep so they can try out their herding skills!  We are planning to have training days where volunteers can come work with the rescue dogs, making them better candidates for adoption.  With our indoor training arena, we will be able to train the dogs all year long, rain or shine!!! 

 

The construction for the Isolation facility will begin this summer.  Until the funds are raised for the main facility, the Isolation building will serve as a temporary facility.  Naturally we will be able to save more dogs when our main facility is finished but the temporary one will serve us well until that happens.
 

 

SPECIAL PLANS FOR LARGE DONATIONS:

• Beginning June 15, 2010, for donations of $1000 or more, the donor’s name will be engraved on a plaque in the Main Facility entrance.

• Donations of $5,000 to $9,000, will also have a suite dedicated to you or your dog (or both), in the form of a plaque on the door of the suite.

• Donations of $10,000 or more, in addition to everything listed above and as a special thank you for your donation, you will receive 2 weeks of free boarding for 2 dogs, every year for life!
