PERMANENT FOSTER DOGS
Sometimes a dog comes through rescue and they just don't find the right family to adopt them. They are usually fine in their foster home because the foster family has several dogs and the resident dogs help the new dog with the rules of the house. Even dogs with behavior problems usually do well in a foster situation. When we can't find the perfect home for our rescue dogs they continue to stay in their foster homes. Some foster providers just adopt the dogs themselves, other foster providers already have too many dogs of their own. While in foster care, these dogs still require food and supplies, including flea control, heartworm preventatives and toys!! If you are interested in sponsoring one of the permanent foster dogs, they would really appreciate it.

RAIDER had been adopted by an elderly gentleman, who unfortunately developed Altzheimers disease. It was too hard for him to take care of Raider and because Raider bit one of the health caretakers, the decision was made to return Raider to rescue. He's been in his foster home for over a year now and he is a fantastic dog. He gets along with most dogs and LOVES his foster family. He does have some quirks. He will growl and show you his teeth when he goes into his crate at night and you close the door. If you reopen the door, he will turn his head away and be very submissive. If he thinks he's done something wrong, he will either wet the floor or he will cower. He is a very sensitive boy!!! Raider is very obedient, totally housebroken and crate trained. |

ACE is an adorable little boy! He is very playful. He loves to romp with the other dogs and all of the dogs love him! He is housebroken and crate trained. He is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations and ready for his new home. Ace is very obedient and really wants to please. ACE is better with women than men but he takes quite a while to warm up to everyone. He is fearful of new situations but does well in a household once he learns the routine and the people in the home. He would not do well with a family who has lots of people coming and going during the day. He is also not suited for going out to dog parks or other public places because of his fear of men.

MINNIE is such a sweetheart! She came into rescue with many health problems and at her advanced age (probably 13 years old) we are not putting her up for adoption. She will live out her life in our rescue foster home and we will make sure she enjoys every day!!! She is happy and loves the other dogs. Although some days are harder for her because of her health, we try to keep her comfortable at all times. We felt it wasn't fair for her to have her life ended in the animal shelter so we're giving her a loving home for her final months.
